The ladies are doing it for themselves as a historically male golf club celebrates its 50th female member.
Joan Hebden is the 50th woman to join the Wimbledon Common Golf Club, which only started accepting women in 2005.
The club said the ladies section has steadily grown since.
Lynne Mikhelson, the Lady Captain, said: "Many golf clubs are finding it very hard to keep their membership numbers up, so we are delighted that so many ladies want to play on Wimbledon Common.
"The introduction of the Ladies Academy had a very positive impact of the number of locals interested in the club for golf and the other social activities we offer."
The club has a total of 290 members and is based in Camp Road, Wimbledon Common.
