Passengers may have noticed a new addition to their bus route when travelling during the London 2012 Games.

Bus-Tops artwork has been exhibiting on the roofs of bus shelters throughout London, with dazzling designs flashing up on the shelter in Southcroft Road, Tooting.

The project has seen a number of professional and amateur artists come forward to showcase their work through red and black LED screens on the bus shelters.

Members of the public were invited to upload their artwork though a website, with the bus stop being transformed into a unique outdoor exhibition space.

Throughout July and August visitors to the bus stop may have witnessed moving images of the Olympic rings, doves and monsters.

The stop has hosted work by professional and amature artists, including the likes of Lesley Oldaker and Cris Stringfellow.

Later this year the top 30 artworks will be selected and exhibited online. The art project is one of the flagship works of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad.
