Transport network struggling under Olympic strain
5:41pm Friday 27th July 2012 in Wandsworth
Commuters have complained that the transport network is grinding to a halt with the Olympics opening ceremony just hours away.
Trains services across south London have been delayed this morning causing huge frustration to passengers.
Many trains into Clapham Junction, Putney and Wandsworth Town have arriving several minutes late.
Trains have been stopping outside stations and in between stations for lengthy periods of time, or moving very slowly, without any explanation being offered by rail staff for the delays.
The transport system is set to be pushed to its limits over the next fortnight with tourists flocking ot the capital to watch the Games.
