Two people have been arrested after police raided a vehicle for firearms in Earlsfield.
Officers from Trident swooped on the pair - a man and a woman - near Magdalen Road, next to Earlsfield train station, at about 2pm today.
Garratt Lane was closed in both directions for about an hour but has since been re-opened.
A police spokesman said a firearm with ammunition was recovered from the vehicle.
He said the raid was part of a "proactive" investigation but was not linked to the shooting of a 20-year-old in Battersea last week.
