Wandsworth and Merton Muslims are emblazoning messages of peace on London buses as part of a campaign to show the true message of Islam.
The buses will display the motto, “Love for All Hatred for None” in a bid to clarify misconceptions and improve community relations.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, which is one of the oldest in London, launched its campaign last Monday.
Members from the Merton and Wandsworth branches met in Morden to unveil the new messages.
Naseer Dean, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of London said: “We stand opposed to extremism in all its ugly forms and our efforts to champion the cause of peace reflect the true Islamic teachings and values.
“It is insufficient simply to proclaim that Islam is a religion of peace.
"It is beholden on every Muslim to be the living embodiment of this golden Islamic principle – and to demonstrate it in their daily life.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of London is part of a nationwide grassroots campaign seeking to change the perception of Islam.
