By Paul Cahalan

One of the largest celebrations of Bastille Day outside of France will take place in Battersea Park next week.

The event, on Sunday, July 12, is celebrated by the French as a symbol of the revolution and the making of modern France.

Battersea’s free festival will include a large street fair and an open air picnic with samples of wine and cheese.

There will also be musicians and a kids’ corner where children can learn French.

Some lucky revellers will also win tickets to see Audrey Tautou’s new film, Coco Before Chanel.
