Sports captain named pupil of the term

A basketball captain who dreams of captaining passenger jets has been voted student of the term at Elliott School in Putney.

Year 9 student Nathaniel Bagot-Sealey was presented with a £50 cheque at a special ceremony on Tuesday.

The award is given to encourage positive attitude to learning and taking responsibility in the community.

Teachers say Nathaniel is known to be a modest and courteous student and an influential figure in his year.

He is a member of the Elliott student council and captain of the year 9 basketball team. His ambition is to be an airline pilot.

This is not the first time Nathaniel has been recognised, as at the end of last term he was also awarded £20 for his 100 per cent attendance.
