Readers of the Wandsworth Guardian back Britain staying in the European Union, according to a poll by this website. 

On Wednesday, the three MPs of the borough united in Balham to encourage voters to choose to remain in the EU, as the polls opened this morning in one of the biggest ballots of a generation. 

According to a snap poll by this website, most people in Wandsworth will be voting with their MPs, to stay in the EU.

Of the votes cast, 68 per cent chose remain and 32 per cent chose leave. 

Wandsworth Council announced on Wednesday that 78 per cent of postal votes had been returned in the referendum.

Merton and Wandsworth London Assembly member Leonie Cooper also back remain, as does a large number of the borough's councillors. 

The polls close at 10pm tonight and the result in London is expected sometime after 5.30am on Friday morning.
