The coach had damaged its windscreen after being involved an accident in Upper Richmond Road, Putney, at 8am on Tuesday, May 17.
It was stopped by police at 9.30am in Morden Hall Road, Morden.
Although an original tweet sent by the road and transport police said school children had been on the coach when it was stopped, the police have since confirmed that there were no school children on board.
