The buildings will form the eastern side of the High Street, from the Power Station down to the Zone 1 underground to be served by the Northern Line.

The development is the architect's first UK project.

Rob Tincknell, chief executive officer of Battersea Power Station Development Company said: "This is an exciting day not just for London but for the UK as it will offer a first glimpse into the world of Gehry here at Battersea Power Station.

"Everyone involved is delighted to be able to show people the extraordinary craftsmanship and design from this exemplary architectural team which is bringing its world-famous innovation to London."

The company's design will be a cluster of five buildings, with facades inspired by the John Regency terrces.

The firm has designed two palettes for the interiors - Los Angeles (LA) and London. The first show apartment to open will be the LA interior, with an additional London style bathroom.

According to the firm, the LA interior is "all about adventure, excitement and breaking out of the ordinary design concepts".

The London palette is inspired by the city and includes features such as chevron flooring and metallic kitchens.

Between the five buildings, there is a private garden for residents, reflective of London's famous garden squares. Each building will have its front door both at street level and at garden level.

Homes within Prospect Place are available with prices starting at £1.311m for a two-bedroom apartment.

The show apartments are open from Monday to Saturday and by appointment only.
