A pub which caught fire today causing 'considerable damage' will be open for business tonight.
John Byrne, director of Grand Union pub, said: "We had a small fire in the corner of our bar which was caused by an equipment fault.
"We will open for business tonight, our Pleasure Garden will be open as usual for the whole weekend."
The fire which broke out in Wandsworth High Street was extinguished, but not before causing considerable damage according to the London Fire Brigade.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at 9.35am in the Grand Union pub.
It was at first thought to have begun in the basement, by firefighters later confirmed the fire broke out in the bar area.
The incident saw police close the A217, Wandsworth Plain. The road later reopened to traffic.
A spokesman for the fire brigade said the blaze had caused considerable damage, but that no one had been injured.
