Thousands of teenagers will learn the results of their hard work today as A-level results are revealed.
Many will be braced to find out if they have hit the grades required for their chosen university places or training schemes.
While many be will celebrating, others face a difficult trying to secure an alternative spot through the clearing process.
Fewer students are expected to achieve the top grades nationally, with sciences papers in particular tipped to show a decline.
