A car and a motorcycle collided earlier today in Tooting.
The smash on Upper Tooting Road led to a police cordon with delays in both directions stretching between Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway station.
An employee at Haji Halal Meats, situated on the corner of Upper Tooting Road and Kellino Street, said: “We didn’t see the crash but heard it and ran out to see what was happening.
"We spoke to the driver of a Vauxhall Zafira that said he stopped to let the car pull out. His indicator was on and he was halfway across the road when the motorbike hit him."
A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police said: ‘The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with head injuries, but they are not considered to be life-threatening."
The road was later cleared with traffic back to normal.
