A man from Twickenham has been arrested on suspicion of biting off part of another man's ear in Putney, following a Crimewatch appeal.
The 34-year-old man attended a south London police station on Tuesday where he was arrested on suspicion of assault.
The alleged incident occurred on April 11 at about 9.50pm when a 29-year-old man had the top inch of his ear bitten off outside a club in Putney High Street.
London Ambulance Service attended and took the injured man to a central London hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, especially a woman in her 20s who was thought to have seen the attack. She is thought to have long, straight, dark brown hair and was wearing a brown leather jacket and blue jeans.
