An eight-year-old boy had to be cut free from a climbing frame last night after getting his leg wedged between bars.
Firefighters with specialist cutting equipment used in road traffic accidents arrived to cut the boy free at about 8pm last night.
He had been playing on a climbing frame in a park in Tooting when his leg became stuck and he could not get it out.
Crews from Tooting station went to help the boy but they did not have the right equipment, so called in colleagues from Wimbledon.
They used the specialist cutting equipment to cut the bars of the climbing frame and free his leg.
An ambulance was called as well, but the boy was not taken to hospital and a fireman said he was fine, just a bit shaken up.
Two engines from Tooting and one from Wimbledon went to the park.
