Former pupils of a school demolished in the 1990s are searching for relatives of 149 past pupils and staff who gave their lives in the world wars.

The Old Wandsworthians Memorial Trust hopes to find living relatives to attend the unveiling, later this year, of a renewed war memorial.

The new plaque will replace two lost or destroyed when Wandsworth School was torn down. St Cecilia's School was built in its place.

The Great War claimed 95 lives connected to the school, and World War Two, 54. The plaque commemorating their sacrifice will be unveiled at the new school on Wednesday, July 8.

If you are related to one of them, or know someone who is, and wish to attend the unveiling ceremony, contact Les Herbert on leswands@gmail.com or write to L Herbert, OWMT - Service, PO Box 9059, Lyme Regis DT6 9EG.
