Some of these 45 knitted bible scenes will have you in stitches.
The Wedding at Cana
Eight ladies knitted for a year to produce hundreds of characters and animals to recreate bible scenes in wool.
They were recently on display at St Andrew’s United Reformed Church in Laitwood Road, Balham.
The exhibition, which finished on Monday, included creation, baptism of Jesus, Noah’s Ark, the Good Samaritan and the resurrection.
The Last Supper
Church secretary Bob Allen said: “The exhibition was attended by over 1,200 children from local schools and many visitors from the community and further afield.
“There are over 400 knitted characters plus animals, all knitted by about eight members and friends of the church over the last year and scenery made by other members.”
