London Fire Brigade rescued her from the black mini and she was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The A306, in Castelnau, was closed both ways and between Riverview Gardens and Rutland Grove.
The crash meant Hammersmith Bridge had to close temporarily and there were delays on the A219 Butterwick and around the Hammersmith Gyratory.
It also caused queues over Putney, Chiswick and Kew bridges as traffic diverts were put in place.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 4.06pm to Riverview Gardens to reports of a car that had overturned.
“We treated one patient woman, a 66-year-old woman, who was taken to St Mary’s Hospital. She was put on a spinal board. There were no obvious injuries. We sent one ambulance a single responder in a car and a duty officer.”
