A man was stabbed in broad daylight in front of families near Tooting Common.
The 41-year-old man was beaten and stabbed in the leg in Drakefield Road, at the junction with Elmbourne Road, at about 4.45pm yesterday.
Residents described seeing a large police presence and cordon near the park.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “A 41-year-old man was taken to a hospital suffering from stab injuries to his leg. He remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not life-threatening.
“Officers from Wandsworth are investigating.”
There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries continue.
