A young woman was confronted by three men, including one holding a large screwdriver, who forced themselves into her home.

Wandsworth police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Stoughton Close, near Putney Heath.

On Thursday, September 25, between 12.25pm and 12.40pm, the woman opened her front door and saw a man who told her there was a leak in her kitchen and water was leaking into the flat below.

She closed the door and went to see if there was a leak. When she returned to tell him there was no leak a second man was standing with him and they forced their way into her home, joined by another thought to be holding a big screwdriver.

The woman ran to the balcony calling for help but was dragged back into the address.

She managed to escape through the front door and get help. All three men fled the scene.

The first man was white, aged 25 to 30 years, 5ft 4in, slim with short light brown hair. He was wearing a grey jumper, dark and light grey jacket and trousers.

The second man was white, aged 25 to 30, 5ft 5in with short black spiky hair. He was wearing a blue and grey jumper and trousers.

The third man with a screwdriver was white, aged 35 to 40, 5ft 3in of athletic build.
