A burst water main is causing traffic chaos in Wandsworth Town.

There is a large amount of surface water on the A3 in Wandsworth High Street, due to a burst water main.

There are reports of slow traffic from Trinity Road to Upper Richmond Road.

The police called Thames Water, to alert them of the flood, just after 10.30am. Thames Water then sent a team to the scene.

A spokeswoman said: “We’re sorry to people affected by the burst pipe. Our teams will be working as fast as possible to stop the flow of water.

“Flooding has been caused by a third party damaging a water main. We’re working to identify the affected pipe and will turn off the water supply to stop the flooding as soon we can”
