Joni Mitchell fans are in for a treat this month.
The Half Moon in Putney hosts Joni’s Soul during which vocalist Gina Foster will explore the soulful side of Mitchell.
She will be joined by guest singer Manuela Panizzo from Italy and a band who will recreate some of Mitchell's most iconic material from her albums.
They will explore Mitchell’s music with everything from Coyote, Edith and the Kingpin, the Hissing of Summer Lawns to Both Sides Now.
Mitchell, a Canadian musician, is one of only two women to have made it on to Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of all time, received eight Grammys and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
The musicians promise to draw on their own emotional response to Mitchell’s work as they reproduce the star’s hits.
