Two of the most popular libraries in Wandsworth have extended their opening hours to meet demand.
Balham Library and Putney Library, which are operated by charitable social enterprise GLL on behalf of the council, are now open for an extra three hours a week - between 2pm and 5pm on Friday afternoons.
Diana Edmonds, head of library services at GLL, said their growing popularity was a ‘fantastic testament’ to the staff.
