The Co-operative has invested £1.2m to open a new food store in Earlsfield.
It is set to open today in Garratt Lane and promises to create 20 new jobs.
The store has been designed with a focus on good food, wine and modern cuisine.
It will be officially opened by manager Ranjit Jeevaratnam and his new team.
He said: "The Co-operative is committed to play a real role in the life of the Wandsworth community and we are all excited for our opening day.
"Wandsworth residents are passionate about their food and our new Co-operative store will certainly reflect this.
"The store will be packed with modern and interesting meal ideas that, while quick and easy to put together, are sure to impress."
The new store comes after the Co-operative closed in Mitcham Lane, Tooting, last year.
