A man is in hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed by a teenager at the weekend.

The man, in his 30s, from Epsom, was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with serious but non-life threatening injuries, after the attack in Blenheim Road, at 6.45pm on Saturday, October 6.

Surrey Police said a 16-year-old boy, from London, was arrested near the scene and is being held in custody.

Ewell resident Paul Warner said: "There were quite a few police cars along Longmead Road and the police had taped off the area."
