A man was hit with a glass bottle thrown by a passenger on board a train travelling between London Waterloo and Woking.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for information following the incident at 10.54pm on Saturday, October 6.

The victim left the train at Weybridge and left the station before the ambulance service arrived to treat him. It is believed the victim, a man, suffered a cut above his eye.

The victim has not yet made himself know to police, who are keen to speak to him about the incident and ensure he has received treatment.

The man alleged to have thrown the bottle is believed to have got off the train at Hersham station.
