Paramedic's bag stolen from ambulance
A paramedic’s bag containing drugs, needles and medical equipment was stolen from the back of an ambulance.
The police have issued a warning that if the drugs are taken incorrectly they could be extremely dangerous.
They are appealing for information about the green paramedic bag which was taken overnight on the September 6-7.
At the end of their shift the London Ambulance Service staff noticed the emergency kitbag was missing.
They had been attending calls in South London including Thornton Heath and Tooting before making the last two calls of the night in Sutton - in Cedar Road and Seven Acres, off Wrythe Lane, Carshalton.
The doors to the ambulance had been kept shut when making calls and the bag had not been needed during the night.
The medics are unable to pinpoint the location where the bag had been stolen.
Detective Constable, Brian Gillespie, of Sutton CID, said: “Any drugs taken incorrectly or in the wrong quantities can be extremely dangerous so we are keen that the public help us to recover this bag with its contents intact.”
If you see a paramedic bag that may have been discarded or have any information about it then contact Sutton Police Station immediately on 101.
