Daley Thompson and other sporting icons paid a visit to the borough while touring to encourage people to take up sport.
Thompson was joined by Sharron Davies, Jonathan Edwards and John Inverdale as they greeted fans in Tooting Bec Lido, Tooting Bec Road, on Sunday, August 19.
The sporting icons visited the lido on Sunday as part of a Join In weekend campaign, which saw sports clubs put on events to encourage people to take up sport.
They have been touring the UK spreading the excitement after the Olympics on a battle bus, spurring on communities during the journey.
Doreen Fitch, 88, who volunteers at the lido for the South London Swimming Club, featured in the poster campaign for the campaign.
Sharron Davies said: "As part of the Join in Weekend we wanted to bring people back to sport, coaches that have left it, people that can drive members around, people that can do admin."
The week before the lido was visited by Australian swimmer and BBC presenter Ian Thorpe, who gave lessons to children.
