A pregnant mum-of-seven will stand trial for murder just four weeks before she is due to give birth.

Cherri Gilmartin, 36, and her partner Jason Lodge, 38, are accused of attacking David Petch outside his New Addington home.

Miss Gilmartin is accused of attacking Mr Petch, 55, with a baseball bat, before Mr Lodge stamped on his head as he lay on the ground outside his home in Wayside.

Mr Petch, a dad-of-nine, was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries four days later.

The couple of Uvedale Crescent, who have been together for 20 years, both pleaded not guilty at a hearing last week and will stand trial at The Old Bailey on December 3.
