Teenagers appear in court over murder of South Norwood musician Umar Tufail

A pair of teenagers have appeared in court charged with the murder of aspiring rapper Umar Tufail.

The 25-year-old was shot in the head while sat in his car outside his home on Wharncliffe Road, South Norwood, at 4.35pm Sunday July 15.

He was taken to St George Hospital but died the next day.

Appearing at The Old Bailey on Friday August 10 Kyrone Daley, 18, from Unity Close, Norwood was remanded in custody to appear for a plea and case management hearing on at the Old Bailey on November 14.

Sanchez Thomas, 19, of no fixed address, was at Bromley Magistrates Court on Friday August 10 also charged with the murder of Mr Tufail.

He was remanded in custody to reappear for a plea and case management hearing at the Old Bailey on November 16.
