Two cars have crashed outside Croydon University Hospital this morning.

Emergency services were called to Mayday Road at the junction with Bensham Lane, shortly before 7.50am.

A crew from Norbury fire station were called to the scene, but no passengers needed to be cut from either car.

One female was treated by London Ambulance and taken to Croydon University Hospital. Police are investigating the crash.

The road remains partially blocked and motorists are advised there is slow traffic in the area.
