Croydon Tram rant accused to appear in court

Emma West is to appear in court this morning
A woman accused of racially abusing passengers on a Croydon tram is to appear in court this morning.
Emma West of New Addington, was charged with a racially aggravated public order offence after a video of the racist rant was post on YouTube on November 27, 2011.
The two and a half minute video went viral and was viewed more than 2.2 million times in 24 hours.
The 34-year-old mother also faces one count of a racially aggravated public order offence, with intent to cause fear or provocation of violence.
Miss West is expected to enter a plea to the charges at the hearing at Croydon Crown Court.
