A grateful pet owner has thanked two boys after they saved an escaped a pet rabbit.
Arron Foreman and Stephen Morris, both in Year 7 at Raynes Park High School, found Patches wandering on Westway on their way to school last week.
They immediately took the rabbit to the nearby Park Veterinary Practice - where Patches’ brother Fluffy was due to pay a visit the following day.
After spotting the similarity between the two bunnies Fluffy’s breeder was contacted and Patches was returned to his owners Siobhan Williams and her six-year-old son Connor.
Mrs Williams said: “He’d been missing for four days and we couldn’t believe he’d survived. We’re very grateful to the boys for finding him and taking him to the vets.”
