Spotted posts from parents on Facebook asking where they can buy fidget spinners?

Or maybe you've seen people twirling them in their hand on the bus and wondered what it was?

Move over Pogs, Tamagotchis and yo-yos and say hello to the latest playground craze.

Fidget spinners were originally marketed to help youngsters with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, autism or anyone with 'fidgety hands' but they've quickly become one of 2017's must-have toys for kids and adults.

The small, ball-bearing devices are rotated between the user's fingers with the momentum of the toy providing a 'pleasing sensory experience', according to some reviews.

But the challenge of tossing, transferring and twirling the spinners appears to be the real reason users get addicted.

It hasn't been all fun and games for Fidget Spinner fans however.

The gadget has already been banned in some schools for being 'distraction' to pupils.

Has your child got one yet?

Or have you been using your fidget spinner in the office to de-stress?
