A mobile HIV testing clinic is touring Croydon this week in a drive to raise awareness and encourage people to get checked for the condition.
During national HIV testing week, which runs from November 22 to November 30, the vehicle will be parked in North End, South Norwood, Thornton Heath, New Addington and by East Croydon station.
Medical staff will be offering free confidential tests with immediate results and advice.
The bus, which proved popular last year with nearly 300 people climbing aboard to have a test, will remain in Croydon until World Aids Day on December 1.
Croydon Council’s health and wellbeing board chairwoman Maggie Mansell said: "Anyone who has had sex could have HIV for a long time without symptoms and can, therefore, pass it on unknowingly.
"Testing is the only way to be sure.
"Our message is: Test early, treat early, live a long and healthy life."
