Of all the sweaty things you can do in Clapham Junction on a Friday night, Bikram yoga has got to be one of the best, writes Rebekah Pemberton.

The brand new Bikram Yoga Centre offers classes to suit all levels of flexible ability, all practised at 40 degree heat.

Twist your way into 26 postures such as the half moon and the eagle, which are perfect for improving circulation, increasing concentration and reducing anxiety.

Classes are taught by a team of certified professionals, including studio owner Gerry Lopez, who opened the new centre a few months ago.

He says: "What I love about yoga the most is that it clears my mind, and allows me to forget about the world for 90 mins.

"Our centre offers a range of classes from candle-lit sessions to meditation and handstand workshops."

He encouraged people who want to reap the rewards from yoga to try their 30-day challenge in January 2015, which includes classes and nutrition guides to achieve the perfect post-Christmas body.
