Tooting Police are giving people tips on how to improve their home security.
Residents can book a free crime prevention survey with the Tooting Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Homeowners and tenants will receive a visit from trained officers who will look at existing security measures and suggest ways to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of burglary.
Police Sergeant Simon Harris, from the Furzedown and Graveney Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: "It is possible to dramatically reduce burglaries by taking simple security measures to deter burglars and remove some of the opportunities that present themselves as easy targets.
"This initiative is part of our on-going priority to reduce burglaries in the area and I strongly advise residents to take up this free survey."
