An arson attack on a climbing plant caused significant damage after the flames spread to a nearby building.
The fire spread to a trellis and a pergola before damaging the roof of an outbuilding in Castle Hill Avenue, New Addington.
Firefighters were called at about 2am and spent about 15 minutes putting out the flames.
The blaze is said to have been started deliberately.
