Members of the construction industry united at an annual charity ball and raised £20,000 for severely disabled children.
Those from the world of construction and their guests attended the event at Epsom Downs Racecourse, on November 9, to raise money for The Children’s Trust, a charity providing specialist care and rehabilitation for children with disabilities, including acquired brain injury, based in Tadworth.
The event has raised £340,000 since it started nine years ago and was compered this year by television presented Jonny Gould.
Ian Upton, from Epsom, whose son Ewan received rehabilitation at the trust gave a moving speech about the care and support provided by the charity and since Ewan has returned home.
