Pupils at St Philomena’s Catholic High School for Girls in Sutton celebrate International Day of the Girl
Sutton schoolgirls joined stars of sport, art and entertainment to celebrate the first ever International Day of the Girl.
Girls including a group from St Philomena’s Catholic High School for Girls in Sutton took over the EDF Energy London Eye to mark the event.
The date, October 11, was adopted as global Day of the Girl by the UN following a campaign by young activists from some of the world’s poorest communities.
