Sutton and East Surrey Water company is to be sold.
The water utility’s owner, Icon Infrastructure, has appointed investment bank Citi to find a buyer, and the company is expected to be bought for up to £300million.
The company, which supplies areas including Leatherhead, Ashtead, Tadworth and Woodmansterne, was bought from Terra Firma by Deutsche Bank in 2005 for £189million.
