A man has been spotted looking into windows and tried to enter a Sutton primary school on three separate occasions during the last week.

The police are keen to speak to a man who tried to gain access to Manor Park Primary, in Sutton, via the Myrtle Road entrance on May 24, 25 and 28 between 8.30am and 9am.

The incidents have been reported to police by school staff who have challenged the man who walks off without explaining why he was trying to enter the school grounds.

Police want the individual in this photo to come forward to identify himself in order to assist officers with their enquiries – and possibly be eliminated from them.

There is no suggestion the man in the photo has committed any offences.

He is described as of Mediterranean-type appearance with an olive skin.

Sergeant Mick Essien, of Sutton’s Town Centre Team, said: “Security procedures at the school have proved to work and staff should be commended for challenging the male about his presence at the school.

“It could be that this man is in dispute with a partner over access to a child.”

He also added that there is nothing to suggest that the incidents reported at Manor Park are in any way linked to three incidents reported in Kingston borough since the May 17.

Police have increased their uniform and plain-clothes police presence around the school and are asking parents to call 999 immediately if they see anyone acting suspiciously near the school in Greyhound Road.
