Princess Royal visited a charity shop in Cheam to meet volunteers.
The princess talked to the volunteers about their work at Save the Children in The Broadway, paying special tribute to Toni Waxman for volunteering at the age of 92.
The charity president was also presented with a posy by two brownies from the area, Tiana Kates and Lucy Saul.
She presented long-term volunteers Douglas and Janet Matthews with The Princess Royal Certificate of Thanks for outstanding support to Save the Children.
On leaving, she said the results achieved by shop volunteers was essential to the continuation of the charity and thanked everyone involved, before going out to talk to a small crowd who had heard she was visiting the village.
