St Anthony’s Hospital is offering advice on acupuncture.
From February 27 to March 2 the British Acupuncture Council is organising the first ever Acupuncture Awareness Week.
To celebrate, St Anthony’s Hospital in North Cheam, will have a stand with leaflets about acupuncture.
Hilary Young who recently started running clinics at the hospital said: "I see many patients with different symptoms including persistent pain.
"Acupuncture can give an improved sense of wellbeing and help with pain relief; it’s a relaxing but powerful treatment.
"People often think the needles we use are large, but actually they are very fine and are used to stimulate specific acupuncture points on the body.
"This may feel like a dull ache or a tingling sensation."
Acupuncture can help with the symptoms of many conditions including unexplained infertility, low back pain, female hormonal conditions, headaches and migraines.
The clinic at St Anthony’s Hospital runs every Monday from 1pm to 8pm.
The first consultation costs £51 and subsequent sessions are £45.
For appointments visit stanthonys.org.uk or call 0208 335 4589.

The story is inspired by actual events, weaving a conspiracy that pits Eastern medicine against its critics in the West. The fellow who wrote it did a wonderful job of bringing together all of these topics through the lens of a murder mystery. The clues are rooted in Chinese medicine, and being used to execute a chilling revenge. You are so engrossed in seeing what happens next that you don't even realize you are 'learning' some very interesting facts. If you enjoyed the Da Vinci Code, I am certain you will enjoy this. Check it out on Amazon. The author's name is Chris Titus. Or, you can visit the book's site at http://godcomplexnov
