A man was flown to hospital by air ambulance after heavy slabs fell on him yesterday.
The man in his 20s was outside a material recycling facility on Beddington Lane when the incident happened.
It is believed he was unloading the slabs when they slid onto his legs.
London Ambulance Service said they were called just after 4pm to reports of a man suffering from a broken leg.
He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital.
Mark Turner, 38, the national supervisor of European Recycling Company based next door to where the incident occurred said they only became aware after they saw the ambulance.
He said the man was conscious and laying on his back and the ambulance staff covered up the lower half of his body.
He added that there was one ambulance, three paramedic cars, one police car and the air ambulance.
