A man’s record collection was destroyed in a fire.
The collector’s selection of vinyl, understood to include between 200 and 300 records, was destroyed when an outbuilding in his garden in Culver’s Way, Carshalton, burned down this morning.
The incident happened at about 1am.
A firefighter said the large shed was completely alight, but it was unclear at this point what had caused the blaze.
He said police had been informed.
He added: “The man was pretty upset. He said he had lost his record collection he had put together over many years.”
