Camra searches for charity to benefit from beer festival

1:20pm Thursday 9th July 2009

The Croydon and Sutton branch of Camra is searching for a local charity to support during the Wallington Beer Festival.

More than 2,000 real ale enthusiasts are expected to attend the event at Wallington town hall, from October 8 to 10.

Last year, a cycle ride through Death Valley, for the Mines Advisory Group, was nominated as the charity of the festival.

More than £800 was donated for the cause, through a beer-orientated raffle and a general collection over the three days.

This year, interested charities can find out how to bid for the honour at croydon.and.sutton.camra@ gmail.com.

The deadline is noon on July 29.
