Lavender lovers are being encouraged to get involved in this years Adopt-a-row scheme.
A row at the award-winning lavender field at Stanley Road Allotments would be a great gift for a nominal fee this spring.
For a small time commitment, you can improve your fitness and gain personal satisfaction from involvement in a local community project.
It is also an opportunity to socialise. Adopters will receive an Adopt-a-Row certificate, a free bucket of lavender per row and there will be a prize awarded for the most weed-free row.
