A man became trapped in his vehicle following a crash between a car and a lorry in Morden this morning.
Two fire engines from the London Fire Brigade and a fire rescue unit worked to rescue the man from the wreckage on the A24 Epsom Road southbound at the junction with Sutton Common Road.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8.16am to reports of a road traffic incident at Epsom Road.
"We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder by car.
"We treated a man for neck and back injuries at the scene and took him as a priority to hospital."
Bus routes in Morden are back in service a following the crash.
This morning Transport for London advised that the 80 and 93 bus routes were being diverted.

The service now states the routes are back en-route.
