A £2.2 million contract to run mental health services in Sutton for the next three years has been awarded.
The deal allows for the South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust, the successful bidder, the opportunity to extend the deal for a further two years.
Central to its bid is something it has dubbed the "well-being service" where shop premises will be used as access points for support and treatment.
The trust hopes to start the service on July 1 after being award the deal by the Sutton Clinical Commissioning Care Group.
Mark Clenaghan, trust head of operations, said: "The Trust has an existing in-depth knowledge of Sutton and the local landscape, significant experience in running mental health services in the community and great links with organisations and charities."
Dr Chris Keers, GP and clinical lead for mental health at Sutton CCG, added: "Mental health is one of the CCG’s main priorities and we want this service to make a real difference to the mental health and well-being of people living in Sutton."
